Stately Sandwiches - A sandwich for every U.S....
I enjoy a good sandwich and state pride, so this is a tremendous idea. I think the late Warren Zevon would approve. Enjoy every sandwich Check out some of the state sandwiches below and the ones that have been made to date here: http://www.statelysandwiches.com/

Ditch the coppers, see?
Moonshiners’ Cow Shoes By Cory Doctorow at 12:00 pm Tuesday, May 15 The May 27, 1922 issue of The Evening Independent carried a story about moonshiners wearing “cow shoes” to trick revenuers — rather than leaving suspicious footprints leading up to their secret stills, they’d leave innocent-looking hoofprints in the dirt and grass. TheNew Yorker’s...

The best part of getting steaks in the mail? I’m not going to say that it’s the dry ice… but it’s the dry ice and pretending you’re a scientist.

I’m making cheese tonight. This is in the middle stage when the calf rennet makes the milk into a custard-like gel. You cut it into cubes and heat it back up again, but giving it a shake makes it look awesome.

20th anniversary of Wayne's World
Wayne’s World came out 20 years ago today. In celebration, here is a short story a buddy of mine told using stills from the movie. It has to do with a girl he met recently at a bar.

Make your own caffeine transdermal patches! My gut is telling me this is a bad idea, but my gut is also very hungry. (above) According to this theorem, the most depressing day of the year is coming up (Jan 23rd). Hoo-ray. It’s really bullshit, but look at all those maths!   Are your two favorite things Star Wars and cake? They are?! Good. I made this for you (image below)

Rules for naming your dog  Corning releasing Gorilla Glass II at CES but is being super secretive about it. My guess? Harder, better, thinner, stronger.  If you’re in the Chicago area this weekend, check out Dr. Seuss & The Art of Invention at the Museum of Science and Industry. It’s only goes until the 8th.

The Library of Congress uploaded a set of WPA posters to their flickr account and they are definitely worth checking out.  A life of drugs told by Facebook Timeline If you’ve ever wanted to learn to code, this place is offering free lessons. Oh, and it’s actually fun and great. Oh, and France has Star Wars themed burgers.

The thing about Subway is that it needs to stop...
I figured I would continue my ranting, so I made a picture of why I hate Subway. How Subway sees themselves is on the left. How I see them is on the right.  It all tastes the goddamn same.

Why I think Adele is a miserable person
I have a thing for tour riders. In an earlier post I wrote about Lupe Fiasco’s rider that read like an 8th grade boy’s wishlist (sundae bar, xbox with fighting games, etc…). The insane details that go into what a band/musician/comedian wants in their dressing room is baffling. Like Zach Galifianakis’s demands for a very specific flipchart you can only purchase from a few...
