I heard I could make bread in a crock pot, so I gave it a try. Here is a before and after shot and the the recipe I used. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 cup warm half & half
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 whole egg
  • 3 cups whole wheat flour

Directions:

  1. Dissolve yeast in water; combine with milk, oats, salt, oil, honey, and egg
  2. Add flour and knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes.
  3. Place on baking sheet, put in crock, cover and bake on high for 3 hours.
